Razelle Kurzrock, MD
Director of the Center for Personalized Cancer Therapy @UC San Diego Health
Dr Kurzrock is a board-certified medical oncologist and a renowned expert in precision medicine, which uses molecular tumor testing to match each patient with the best possible treatment. She also has a special interest in rare tumors. Before joining UCSD in 2012, Dr. Kurzrock developed one of the largest Phase 1 clinical trials programs in the world while at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. A central theme of that program was the personalized medicine strategy, which matched patients with targeted cancer treatments that optimized chances for response. She is a frequent speaker at national and international meetings, and her research has been widely published, with more than 500 articles in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Kurzrock earned her medical degree from the University of Toronto, completed her residency at Tulane University, and her fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology
Shumei Kato, MD

Shumei Kato, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in treating rare cancers and gastrointestinal tumors. He uses numerous forms of therapy such as chemotherapy, biological therapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy to offer the best possible treatment options for his patients. Dr. Kato has a special interest in targeted molecular therapy and his approach to care emphasizes personalized medicine and experimental therapeutics. As an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Kato instructs medical students, residents and fellows. His research interests include clinical trials and the design of new, more effective drugs for individualized therapy. Dr. Kato has coauthored peer-reviewed articles, which have been published in Nature Cell Biology and the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, among others.
Jayanthi Srinivasiah, MD

Dr. Jay is a board-certified physician in medical oncology and hematology with more than 2 decades of experience. She is actively involved in the field of research, hereditary cancers and genetics, breast cancers, and participates in multiple hospital leadership committees, national, and international tumor boards and serves as a principal investigator for clinical trials. Dr. Jay has been honored numerous times as a Top Doctor in Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta Women, M.D. news, as well as other publications. She coordinates a genetics symposium for physicians and other health care providers and is passionate about taking care of all malignancies, solid tumors, hematologic malignancies. Her special interests include care of breast cancer patients, including genetics, genomics, and new drugs and clinical trials.
